1) find the area inclosed the curve and the x-axis
2) divide the the value of the area you get by 5 and you get your average
1 - 1 Let u=t2
2 du = (2t)dt => dt = du/2t
3 substitute u for t2 and ud/2t for dt and integrate
4 evaluate the integral with 0 and 5 as your lower and upper limits respectively

I haven't worked it out but why does it seem incorrect? (hint:(5(1/e^25)-1))/2 is not the answer. Your answer should be a number. And you can't know what it seems until you work it out right dawn to a single number.)

once i do the u substation and integrate from 0 to 5 i get 5(1/e^25)-1))/2
where would i go from here?
