Hi Emily,
We can solve this problem using Avagadro's number, which states that there are 6.022e^23 of something (electrons, atoms, ions) per mol of that substance, to convert atoms to moles. We need to use dimensional anaylsis.
8.18e^23 atoms x (1 mol Aluminum/ 6.022e^23 atoms) = 1.36 moles of Aluminum.
