So, percents of each component add up to the whole.
Picture a round area made up of A and B and C and D.
If each component is 25% of that round area ..... looks like a round pizza cut north-side and east-west.
If A, B, C, and C have values of 4 amu, 8 amu, 12 amu, 16 amu
25% of 4 = 1 amu
25% of 8 = 2 amu
25% 0f 12 = 3 amu
25% of 16 = 4 amu
The average atomic mass = (1+2+3+4) amu = 10 amu
Let's look at your data set and you can mimic the above hypothetical example:
83.79% of 51.94 amu = __________ amu
9.50% of 52.94 amu = __________ amu
4.35% of 49.95 amu = __________ amu
2.36% of 53.94 amu = __________ amu
The average atomic mass = __________ amu
