odds are you left out an "x" in the f(x) function? then

f(x) = -3x +24 = g(x) = 3x-6

6x = 30

x = 30/6 =5

but if you accept f(x) as = -3+24 then f(x) = 21 = 3x-6 and 3x=27 x = 9 when f(x)=g(x)
