Sounds like this person catches a rope and swings upward. This is an energy transfer problem converting KE (1/2mv2) into PE (mgh) where m is the mass, v= velocity and h= height. Note that 1/2mv2=mgh since all of the KE is converted into PE. Since the m cancels, h=v2/2g = 49/2/3.7= 6.62 meters
