hello! got some chemistry questions i need help on

  1. How many atoms of chlorine are in 40 g of CCl4?
  2. How many moles of CO2 are there if a sample of CO2 has 5.0x1023 atoms of oxygen?

Oops...I'd like to correct (b) in the above answer because we don't have "atoms O2", but rather we have molecules of O2. Thus, we should calculate this as 5x10^23 atoms O x 1 molecule CO2/2 atom O x 1 mol CO2/6.02x10^23 molecules = 0.42 moles CO2. Or done another way.. 5x10^23 atoms O x 1 mol O/6.02x10^23 atoms O x 1 mol CO2/2 mol O = 0.42 moles CO2.
