Dibutene is normally referred to 1,3-butadiene. Never heard of 1,3-dibutene.

asked 12/18/20Hiya!
I was watching a vid about naming organic compounds, and I have a question.
The guy in the vid named an organic compound 1,3-butadiene.
But is it also possible to write 1,3-dibutene?

Hi - I see where you are coming from, but the formalism is to say butadiene.
