1. Methanol, CH3OH - organic
2. Sulfuric acid, H2SO4 - inorganic
3. Glucose, C6H12O6 - organic
4. Methane, CH4 - organic
5. Limestone, CaCO3 - inorganic
6. Baking soda, NaHCO3 - inorganic
All organic compounds are carbon based and covalently bonded. Option #2 does not contain any molecules of carbon and therefore it cannot be considered organic. Options #5 and 6 do contain carbon, but each compound has ionic bonds. In option #5 Ca2+ is ionically bonded to CO32- and therefore it cannot be considered organic in nature. Similarly in option #6 Na+ is ionically bonded to HCO3-. Options #1, 3, and 4 are carbon based and contain only covalent bonds and therefore are organic in nature. Hope this helps!
