Aria, there is not a way to help you graph here. You would just have to study and find out how the y changes as you change the x by plugging different values. Then it will eventually become second nature to you.

1) you have asymptotes for tanx at x = ∏/2, 3∏/2,.....

2) you have y=1 when x=0 and y=0 when x=∏/2 for y=cosx
