Describe 2 specific examples of chemical reactions you might experience in everyday life (include the reactants and products) in which being able to control the reaction rate would be beneficial. Explain your answers.

How about natural gas for cooking or heading, the operation of a battery, or the reaction of baking soda in cooking. Also, gasoline combustion in a car engine, and the conversion of CO and NOx in a catalytic converter. You should be able to look up the chemicals involved and balance the equations.
