Molarity (M, or mol/L) is defined as moles of solute per liter of solution. Our solute in this case is NaOH, so we only need to convert grams of NaOH to moles of NaOH using its molar mass (39.997 g/mol):
563 g NaOH/1 L solution * 1 mol NaOH/39.997 g NaOH = 14.1 mol NaOH/1 L solution = 14.1 M NaOH
