Let t = the # of hours the meeting room is rented There is a one time fee of $39 so we'll add that to the cost. Then it's $8.70 PER hour, or PER t.
So we have 39 + 8.70t We want this amount to be LESS than (or equal to) the amount of money we have to spend, which is $108.60.
So, 39 + 8.70t < (or equal to) 108.70. (I'm not sure how to get the "less than or equal to" symbol)
39 + 8.70t < (or equal to) 108.70 Solve this for t. Get t by itself.
The answer will be how many hours you can rent the room for.
Any questions? I hope his helps!
