A lever is used to lift a heavy load. When a 500 N force pushes one end of the lever down 1.2 m, the load rises .6 m. What is the approximate mass of the load (not weight)?

The work done by the force applied =(500 N)*(1.2 m), the same work will be done on the load.
Then, (500 N)*(1.2 m)= m*g*(6 m).
Finally, m=(500 N*1.2 m)/(6 m*10 m/s2)=10 kg
