- Find the theoretical yield (amount of Na2CO3 that you expected to form) using stoichiometry:
2.64 g NaHCO3 -> mol NaHCO3 -> mol Na2CO3 -> g Na2CO3
- Find the percent yield using the formula:
% yield = [(actual yield) / (theoretical yield)] x 100
- the actual yield was given: 4.48 g Na2CO3
- the theoretical yield is what you just calculated using stoichiometry
Let me know if that helps/if you need further clarification!
