A 72 kg person is hanging injured on a rope. 

What is the force of tension on the rope?

Hanging means no acceleration therefore:

∑Fy = 0

T - W = 0

T = W

But W = mass times 9.8 = 72•9.8 = 705.6 N

So T = 705.6N

Rounding to 2 sig figs, Tension = 710 N
