You've described (I think) a right triangle, where the legs are 1) the wall from the ground to the friend, and 2) the ground from the wall to the first ant. The hypotenuse is the distance between the ants. You know the length of the bottom leg (1m) and the angle of elevation. The secant of the angle equals the distance between the ants divided by the distance from the first ant to the wall,
So sec 62° = d / 1, where d is the distance between the ants.
So d = sec 62° = 2.13 m
That's more than the hearing range of 2m, so yes, the friend will be a meal.
