Here we go,
Density= mass/volume or d=m/V. so to get the volume of iron we have to rearrange the equation for V. We multiply each side by the volume and divide by the density and we get V=m/d.
V=3.56g/(7.9g/cm3). Grams cancel out and we're left with cm3 which is the same as mL.
