The height h (in feet) of an object dropped from a ledge after x seconds can be modeled by h(x)=−16x^2+4. The object is dropped again from a different starting height so that it hits the ground 2 seconds later. Write a function g that models the path of the object the second time it is dropped.

We need the time (x-value), 2 seconds after the initial drop. If the initial drop happened at x seconds, the 2 seconds later would be x+2.

If f(x) = -16x² + 4 then f(x+2) = -16(x+2)² + 4

FOIL the (x+2)² = x² + 4x + 4

Now have -16(x² + 4x + 4) + 4

g(x) = -16x² - 64x - 64 + 4 = -16x² - 64x - 60
