The second side of a triangle deck is 6 feet longer than the shortest side and the third side is 6 feet shorter than twice the length of the shortest side if the perimeter of the deck is 80 feet what are the links of the three sides

Let X = second side = 6+S

Let Y = 2S-6

Perimeter = 80 = S+X+Y = S+6+S + 2S -6 = 4S

4S = 80

S = 20

6+S = 26

2S-6 =40-6 = 34

20x26 x 34 feet
