asked 09/06/20I found a really cool stone on my hike in the mountains. It is irregularly shaped, but I want to find the density. What steps could I take to calculate its density?

Density = mass/ volume
On an accurate scale measure the mass to the nearest g
Then fill a beaker with water, calculate or measure the volume of the water (πr2h, r is the radius of the beaker in cm, h is the height of the water in cm).
Then drop the stone in, and recalculate the volume in the same way.
Difference in the volumes will be the volume of the stone.
Then just divide the mass in g, by this volume, giving density in g/cm3. Cool ??
