Question About Studying

Question

I recently saw this question on a math test:

Which expression is not equal to sinx? And four choices were given.

Now before you answer, I must state that I am not looking for the answer or any information pertaining to the question.

My question is much simpler. What field of mathematics does this pertain to? And, are there any good study guides anyone knows of?

You can assume anything with sin(x), cos(x), tan(x), ...etc. , would be under the category of trigonometry or possibly Pre- Calculus. There are many books that go over these concepts.
