What is an elevator pitch? This is the scenario; you are in an elevator on the way to the 14th floor carrying a cup of coffee and a sandwich. Suddenly, the elevator comes to an abrupt halt and you are stuck there until help comes. You realize that standing next to you is the CEO of the company for the building you are in. You are a writer and this company handles writing and scripts. He says "Wow, we're stuck in this thing. What do you do?" You realize you have probably 15 minutes to impress this guy with who you are, what you are, what you do and your lastest and best writing projects. Now, what do you say?
Keeping the elevator pitch in mind, as a person who is looking for a job and/or looking for a better job; it is best to always be prepared to be able to tell a potential employer about yourself in as few words as possible and yet, still make an impact. It means that you are constantly reviewing this question 'Who are you?' so that you will be able to answer the question promptly and without hesitation, on the spot, if it is asked. Good luck!
