Hello!
There are numerous different names we have for Jesus, many of which come from Scripture. Most of these words that we use are the original words in the ancient biblical languages--like Hebrew ("son of man" = ben-adam), Aramaic ("Yeshua" = Jesus), and Greek (Christ = "anointed one").
There are other names we use as well, like Emmanuel (Hebrew for "God-with-us"), the Good Shepherd, etc. that stem from the bible directly as well. All of those historical biblical names we use for Jesus help remind us of his identity as God, which ultimately remind us of the faith we have in Him. Also, sometimes certain names are more appropriate to use in specific contexts in writing and speaking. For example, when talking about Jesus in the sense of the Eucharist/communion, one might use "Bread of Life" as a substitute for "Jesus"--or perhaps one might say he is the "sacrifice for our sins" when referring to Jesus on the cross.
