Fatima,
It seems that you are asking for a direct answer to a homework question rather than help in a topic you don't understand. Keep in mind that due to academic integrity policies on both of our ends, tutors cannot answer with answers you intend on copying/pasting for your own use.
Based on the date this post was created, it's safe to assume you don't need this answer for a course anymore, but I'd still like to help clarify this topic if it's still one that's confusing. The Pygmalion Effect is a sociological phenomenon in which high expectations lead to improved performance. Essentially, it says that expectations and performance have a positive correlation (when one goes up, so does the other). The most famous study related to this phenomenon is the Rosenthal-Jacobson study, where a few random students were pointed out to teachers as being "intellectual bloomers," resulting in the teachers having high expectation and extra attention given towards those students. Those students ended up excelling despite not being inherently more likely to succeed.
The question at hand was asking to apply this concept to situations that have happened to you or others you have witnessed, and it can be difficult coming up with personal examples on the spot. Keep in mind for the future that when you encounter questions like this, if you have not experienced the phenomenon being discussed, you can also make up a realistic example so you have an answer to submit. I hope the rest of last semester went well for you!
