I don't know what grade you are in, so I don't know how deep an answer you need.

Here are some things to think about

1) Economics--we trade with a lot of foreign countries. What do we need from other countries? What do we send to other countries? What is the value of trade to our country? You can get answers to this on the internet. Which countries do we have trade agreements with?

2) Economics and Politics. Which countries hold most of the US debt? How does that affect how they can influence us and how we deal with them?

3) Politics and government--We have a lot of alliances with other countries, especially military ones, and we belong to a lot of international organizations. We also have a lot of countries that we don't get along with--Iran, North Korea, China, Russia, and Venezuela--when they do things we react to what they do. We also give foreign aid to countries, and sometimes the aide depends on the foreign country's behavior, so that affects how much aid we give them.

4) Culture--we are a nation of immigrants, so we get lots of cultural influences from other countries--food, fashion, sports, music, and the arts.
