This is the original equation: log3(x+6)-log3(x-1)=1

This is what I've figured out so far:

log3(x+6)-log3(x-1)=1

log3((x+6)(x-1))=1 (combine like expressions)

(x+6)(x-1)=3 (factor log3)

x^2+5x-6=3

x^2+5x-9=0 (simplify to get all expressions on one side)
