A question in my lab is confusing me. It simply says "write the formation equation for X (aq), MX (s), and M+ (aq). Assume all atoms used are monoatomic species in standard state. what should I do?

Our lab is on calorimeter and this is one of the questions it asked. A question in my lab is confusing me. It simply says "write the formation equation for X (aq), MX (s), and M+ (aq). Assume all atoms used are monoatomic species in standard state. what should I do? MX is the product. I was hoping for a better explanation on formation equations as well.
