The ratio is 4 boys for every 7 girls, or 4B / 7G. We want to know how many girls if we have 16 boys, so we set up our ratio equation of 4B / 7G = 16B / xG. Cross multiply and you get 4B * xG = 7G * 16B, or 4x = 112. Divide both sides by 4 and x, the number of girls in the choir, is 28!
