H2SO4 + 2KOH --> K2SO4 + H2O is not balanced.
This is balanced:
H2SO4 (aq) + 2 KOH (aq) --> 2 H2O (l) + K2SO4 (aq)
1 mole of the acid provides 2 moles of H+ and requires 2 moles of OH- to react with it, making 2 moles of H2O.
