write it like this:
(1/4)x^3 +(2/3)x^2 - 1
1/4 times x^3 + (2/3) times x^2 - 1
the integral is:
(1/16)x^4 + (2/9) times x^3 - x+c
which is option #4

Braxton, the best way to solve this integral is to look at each piece individually.
Let's start with the cubic term and that should help to narrow your answer choices down.
∫(x3/4) dx can be re-written as (1/4) * ∫ x3 dx. You then take the integral of x3.
(1/4) * (x3+1/ 3+1) = (1/4) * (x4/ 4) = x4/16
Using the integral of this component allows you to find that the only answer choice is 4.
Please let me know if you would like to work through the remainder of the integral! Hope this helps and happy learning!
