There is 3 different riemann sum approach.Right riemann,left riemann and midpoint riemann sum can be applicable to this problem,but we need to figure out the width of each rectangle.
so upper bound -lower bound divided by number of rectangles will give you the witdh which is 1 in this case.If we use the left riemann sum that means we need to use the left endpoints of each subinterval which are ,in this case,(0,1),(1,2),(2,3).The area of rectangle can be found by width times height of each rectangle in this case.So the height of each rectangle can be found by correcsponding value to each left endpoints.
so 1 times f(0)+1 times f(1)+ 1 times f(2)=16+15+12=43
