3.7 * 10^10 is 3% of the skin cells that were burned.
SHe had/has X skins cells
the 3% of X = 3.7 * 10^10
0.03 X = 3.7 * 10^10 <-- 3% = 0.03
3 X = 3.7 * 10^12 <-- multiplies by 100 to clear the decimal
X = 1.23 * 10^12 <00 divides by 3
3% were burned so 100%-3% = 97% were not
97% = 0.97
0.97 * 1.23 * 10^12
= 1.1963 * 10^12
