Let's say for the sake of understanding that Jose's medium pizza has 6 slices of a given size, and Nina's smaller pizza has 3 slices of that same size. This is a safe assumption because we know that Nina's pizza is "smaller" One third of Jose's Pizza would be:
1/3 (6) = 6/3 = 2 slices for Jose
One third of Nina's Pizza would be:
1/3 (3) = 3/3 = 1 slice for Nina
So who ate more?
