Math and science made easy - learn from a retired engineer
a) a hydrocarbon (some form of H and C) mixed with oxygen is a COMBUSTION reaction. The products of all combustion reactions are carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O)
b) A metal compound mixed with a metal will often result in a SINGLE REPLACEMENT reaction however, to determine if the reaction actually occurs, you must look at the Activity Series chart to see which metal is the most active. In this case, aluminum is more active than copper so there will be no reaction.
c) If energy is added, combining hydrogen and oxygen will create water (H2O) as a product
