how many of the wraps sold were vegetarian?

The school cafeteria sells two kinds of wraps:vegetarian and chicken.the vegetarian wrap cost $1.00 and the chicken wrap cost $1.80.Today they made $98.80 from the 70 wraps sold. How many wraps sold were vegetarian?

Chic    +    Veg = 70  eq(1)

Chic + 1.8 Veg = 98.80   eq(2)

Subtract eq(1) from eq(2) and you get 0.8Veg=28.8

 

Veg=36, Chic + 36 = 70, => Chic = 34
