In the Ptolemaic geocentric model of the universe it was believed that the earth was at the center of our solar system and there were more distant stars that sat motionless around that structure. However, their understanding of the universe was limited.
Given today's understanding that the universe is infinitely expanding, and in fact accelerating, it would be impossible for any point in the universe to be at it's center. From my understanding there can not be a center point to infinity.
