How to Calculate thickness

Hi,

I am a new Chemistry student, I want to understand how I would calculate thickness of a metal given these numbers. If someone could walk me through this problem so I can understand it as I move on, that would be great.

A piece of iron 5 31/32 x 15/16

You will need more information than that. They must give you the density of the metal, or the volume of water that it displaces and the weight. Or something similar. Then one can find the thickness.
