one mile = 1760 yards (440 yards is a quarter mile--one lap around the track surrounding a football field)

5 minutes gets 200 yards done.

1760/200 = 176/20 =88/10 = 8.8 times as far as done in 5 minutes

multiply: 8.8 x 5 = 44 minutes to do one mile

88 minutes for 2 miles or 1 hour and 28 minutes, almost 1 1/2 hours
