0.7x - 2 < 7.5
Add 2 to both sides:
0.7x - 2 + 2 < 7.5 + 2
0.7x < 9.5
Divide both sides by 0.7:
(0.7x)/0.7 < 7.5/0.7
x < approx. 10.7
