I don't know the formula or method to figure of the following.

What are the odds of somebody going to 47 games without seeing an extra inning one?

So the probability of a game not going to extra innings is 10/11 = 0.91

The probability of going to 2 games and neither game going to extra innings is: 10/11 * 10/11 = 0.826

You multiply if it says this occurs AND this occurs AND this occurs, etc.

So, the probability of 47 MLB games in a row without seeing one go to extra innings means this probability is

(10/11)⁴⁷ = 0.011
