Good news and good news.
As of just a few days ago, yoast has released a version that is compatible with Elementor text. Now personally, this is such a new addition, I don't fully trust it, but prefer the old fashioned way which is to actually do your blog writing in the native editor, and be sure you've got your Elementor templates setup to display that page content as you like.
With the latest block builders for Gutenberg this is easier than ever and in my opinion produces the best results and is the easiest for non-techy people to create and edit blogs on their site.
