Being accepted into university without gcse

I was born and raised in London and studied there up until year 9. We moved to Egypt to be with a sick family member for the past two years. I want to attend university in London preferably a top tier uni,in Egypt I did attend school while I was here so I did continue my education, but will I be accepted into a university without gcse?

Thank you for your question. If you want to attend a top tier university in London, then it will be necessary to receive a gcse. This is because colleges everywhere in the world want proof that you achieved a satisfactory standing in high school course material since that is the best predictor of how you will perform in college. However, if there are circumstances that make it difficult to achieve it by the typical age of 17/18, then you can still earn the gcse later in life.
