33.2 mi/gal is the same as 1 gal of gas allowing you to go 33.2 miles or:
and if you then multiply by 462.8 miles like this:
that way, the miles on top right cancels the miles on bottom left and you are left with gallons. So then just do the arithmetic on the numbers to get the number of gallons as 462.8/33.2 = 13.9398 gallons. But to have only one decimal point, we would round to 13.9 gallons
