I think there are supposed to be some subscripts there.....
In prose, I think it is this:
Final position = initial position + initial velocity*time + 1/2 * a * t2
Using y for position, I would write it as:
Yf = Yi + Vi * t + 1/2 * a *t2
This is the general formula for total distance as a function of velocity, acceleration, and time.
To write an equation for a, simply rearrange the terms, so that the term with a is on the left, and everything else on the right. Then divide each side by t2 / 2
