What is the original name of the staircase on the Periodic Table?

I used to learn in school that there was a specific name to describe the staircase which included part of a scientist name and 'step'. But for some reason, I can't seem to find it anymore like it had not even existed before on the internet. If any of you reading this now knows, please PLEASE tell me!

To my knowledge there is not a formal name for the staircase. My guess is your teacher informally named the staircase to help students remember it.
