You can try to tie Platonic solids to quantum chemistry and nanophysics. There's also atomism. You can tie Plato's allegory of the cave to the history of modern physics, particularly certain times of revelation and controversy. Kuhn's "The Structure of Scientific Revolutions" can help to this end. There is a lot you can do with his theory of forms, where he speaks of physical things being representing or being derived from non-physical idealized forms (like quantum fields).
