specific heat capacity

in an experiment conducted by me i found out that the specific heat capacity of the solid is far more higher than the standard specific heat capacity of that solid, why is so?

To me, this indicates two things. One possibility is that the solid is not a pure sample. The other possible reason is that your experiment has been calibrated.
