We have 30 agents and 4 secretaries.  All employees work 40 hours per week.  We are trying to give each agent equal amount of support from the secretaries.

 

How many hours would each agent receive for support in a week from the 4 secretaries?

There are 4 secretaries, each work for 40 hrs/week. So total hours worked by the secretaries in a week is 40 * 4 = 160 hrs.

 

This 160 hrs has to be allocated to 30 agents equally so each agent gets 160/30 = 5.33 hrs of support i.e 5 hrs 20 mins of support per week.
