asked 06/26/19Hello, I am a former ninth grader currently taking pre-calculus over the course of the summer. I'm am doing an honors assignment. The assignment involves the function f(x)=|x|. She wants my to define that function as a piecewise function. Also, she wants me to use examples to justify my answer. Any help?

Well, I won't do your assignment for you, but I will give you something to think about.
How do you define f(x)=|x|? Think about the intervals (-∞,0} and [0,∞).
Think about what you mean by a piece-wise function.
I would be happy to comment back to you if you think I can be of additional help.
