The RGB is where there is a inert helium core, where hydrogen shell burning occurs and AGB is where there is a helium shell burning, but inert Carbon-Oxygen, keep in mind this are for lower mass stars on the HR diagram.
Red Giant branch and Asymptotic Giant branch?
What's the difference between the RGB and the AGB? I can't seem to find an clear distinction anywhere.Thanks.
